Ideas for using computer scrapbooking to organize you photos!

Computer scrapbooking is an increasingly popular method for creating scrapbooks of special memories.  Digital scrapping has grown in popularity as more and more people are using digital cameras.  However, there is also lots of new technology that can be used with traditional paper photos.  For instance, scanners allow scrapbookers to scan their chosen pictures into their computers, where they can be safely archived.  Digital scrapbooking software gives you the freedom to experiment with different templates and page layouts.  You have the choice of storing your computer scrapbook on your hard drive, or sharing it online on a website.  You could email it to loved ones, or print off the pages to display in an album.  It's entirely up to you!

Computer scrapbooking can be loads of fun.  There are loads of CDs and downloads available for all different themes.  Computer based scrapbook kits make designing and embellishing your pages much quicker and simpler.  You can play around with different backgrounds, changing the color and patterns.  Or you could even scan your own choice of picture such as a greeting card and use that as your background.  Computers make it easy to use different styles and sizes of fonts for your journaling, titles and scrapbooking quotes.

Computer scrapbooking can be a handy tool to use when making themed scrapbook albums.  All sorts of products are available that contain coordinated materials for different themes.  These can be great if you're making scrapbooks for particular events such as a wedding, birth of a baby or graduation.  There are CDs for all categories, from hobbies and sports to countries and seasons.  You could use your computer to simply plan your layouts, then print them on to cardstock and add your original photos and own decorative embellishments, such as stickers or chalking.  Alternatively, many scrappers like the convenience of keeping their photographs on their computer.
